Someone I know who knows a lot about the Armenian Genocide is indie historical and contemporary fiction author Carrie-Anne Brownian.
They have lots of kid and teen-friendly resources on their site WELCOME TO MY MAGICK THEATRE.
[and implicitly on their other site ONOMASTICS OUTSIDE THE BOX].
And they are very strong on checking their sources!
The reason for this is that they were reading a lot of material for researching their books which was very biased.
A few years ago I watched a wonderful and sad film called THE PROMISE which was about people and families living through and before this Genocide.
